We need her home

Star had surgery on Tuesday and is recovering amazingly, due to the risk of seizures, bleeding and continued shunting she has to stay in the small animal hospital until at least Friday. We are desperate to see her. 

Due to this extended stay the estimate of her surgery has increased by £1000. We have used our insurance limit and savings to get Star this far so we are asking for any help you can give us. It's a big ask and our family appreciate each and every one of you. The kids just want their puppy home! 

Hi, I'm fundraising on behalf of myself, my husband and 2 kids to raise money for Star's much needed surgery. Star is our adorable 7 month old puppy, she has had a really rough time recently suffering quite distressing episodes very likely caused by a congenital Porto systemic shunt (also known as a liver shunt). Star needs further tests to confirm this, such as a CT scan to identify the location of the shunt which then require surgery in the next 4 to 6 weeks. The total for Star to live a good quality of life after this looks to be around £7000. We have pet insurance for Star but unfortunately this amount is only covering the diagnostic testing and treatment so far. We are putting our savings into Star's treatment but we are still short, any donation is hugely appreciated by all of Star's family, we will be forever grateful. I'm not entirely sure how it all works but if the worst happens any unused donations would be gifted to the wonderful Dick Vets (The Royal School of Veterinary Studies) who are caring for Star in ICU at the moment.
