Annette Wojciehowski’s Cremation and Memorial

Hello,
Annette Wojciehowski. This beautiful and amazing human being. A woman who started a Boy Scout troop in a small town and used it to help boys in the area that had hard childhoods. Gave these very young men the opportunity to get away from their family struggles and make new friends and have memorable experiences.
She advocated and fought hard for children with disabilities. Her love of helping children with special needs promoted such a good example for people around her.
She became heavily involved in genealogy starting in the early 2000’s. She researched her personal family lines, making connections of people she hasn’t seen in thirty or more years. Changing lives with her research. She was involved with groups such as; “Random Acts of Genealogy Kindness”. She loved helping random people with their family research.
She was an Army Vet, who started cooking but, because of her incredible artistic talent, began mapping. She was so proud of her positions in the service and so are we.
In 2019, Mom was diagnosed with Stage 1 Lung Cancer. In early 2020, underwent radiation therapy and was cleared as cancer free in April. She continued to feel ill though. After seeing multiple doctors and not really eating for the next four months, Mom passed out and hurt herself badly. We rushed her to the hospital, where she stayed for ten days. We found out Mom had Pulmonary Hypertension. Unfortunately, this is an incurable condition that has a very short life span. Then in October, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Terminal Lung cancer. We started chemo treatment in November. Sadly, the chemo antagonized the symptoms of her pulmonary hypertension and damaged her organs. She then fought for three weeks, until she devastatingly lost her battle on December 8th.
Unfortunately, because of Mom’s medical conditions it was too much to afford life insurance. We are now trying to sort through the cost of a cremation and eventually a memorial service (after COVID begins to clear up). We understand this time of year is tight on most people. We also aren’t keen on asking for help, I just want my father to be able to have his wife home with him and not be bogged down by this debt. So anything you can do, is the most appreciated gesture.
