SueAnne Lucius’ Retirement Gift

Hi Friends!
So as we know, SueAnne retired last year (2020) and unfortunately we were unable to celebrate her with the retirement party she deserves due to COVID.
I hope somewhere down the road we will be able to have a belated retirement party for her, but in the meantime I have a retirement gift plan that I need your help with!
MCC's Performing Arts Center was built thanks to many people, but mostly SueAnne and her dedication and determination to creating a space for the arts to flourish at MCC. A lot of us believe her name should be recognized in the building somewhere so my goal is to donate enough money to MCC to have her name put on a room.
This is where I need your help, I've started a GoFundMe for this project and I need the word spread to everyone she knows... but without HER knowing
SO if SueAnne Lucius has ever had an impact small or large on your life or your career or you just want to help celebrate all she's done for the arts in the valley, I'm asking you to please donate to her retirement gift and to please add anyone to this group that you think should be here/share the GoFundMe with them!
Thank you all so very much, I know my mom will LOVE this retirement gift with all her heart and it will bring her great joy after having lost the opportunity to say goodbye to her students and family at MCC due to the pandemic.

UPDATE:
Earlier this year I shared this little secret w my mom for Mother’s Day and she loved it! I needed her connections to the right ppl at MCC to get this going. Well, after several meetings and phone calls between me and people at MCC as well as SueAnne and people at MCC she has come to a final decision on what she would like to do and we have set things in motion.
Instead of spending the money raised on naming rights, she wants to use it to create an endowment fund in her name that would be used solely for scholarships for current and future students. The way an endowment works, there will forever be a scholarship in her name and students who apply for it and receive it will know the name of who to thank.
The other part of the money raised she wants to use to buy and donate benches to the MCC Performing Arts Center to be used in the lobby. Currently the only seating option there are the built in risers. The benches will benefit those, like herself, who are unable to sit down and/or get up from those risers with ease.
I’m so excited that after so much discussion, planning, more discussion, research, etc that we have a finalized plan! It is so like SueAnne to want to use these donations to help further the education of MCC’s students rather than to slap her name on a room in the building
