Wheels without Pain

Hi Everyone, As many of you know our son Sebastian struggles with a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. It’s a connective tissue disorder that causes him chronic pain, dislocations, and subluxations of the joints. Sebastian has dislocated and subluxed both patella in his knees. He dislocates his shoulder just by picking up a gallon of milk! If he carries a back pack too heavy he has dislocated his clavicle. This syndrome also causes poor muscle tone and instability. Sebastian currently wears full leg braces called KAFO’s and exhausts easily when trying to go on walks, hikes, and sometimes just every day activities. His pain levels and fluid filled joint need breaks. We are requesting your help to get him a very specific chair recommended by his doctors that is sadly not covered by insurance. This chair will allow him to push the chair without putting pressure on his shoulders that could cause pain, subluxations, or dislocations. Sebastian has always had a chair but now he is wanting independence without Mom pushing him. He will also be able to take it to school and use it during gym to help him keep up during times of exhaustion.
