Help Leanna with her 2nd battle against Cancer

Leanna battled breast cancer in 2017 and WON, and is now again facing a second round of cancer- this time in her C4 neck vertebrae. She has been experiencing neck pain for a few months, and tried physical therapy and all the things us old nurses do to alleviate aches and pains. It didn’t improve. An MRI, along with a PET scan and CT proved her worst fear- cancer had returned. After meeting with a Neurosurgeon, it was decided Leanna will have surgery on Thursday 12/17 to remove her C4 vertebrae, surgical reconstruction of her C4, along with removal of the tumor. The goal is to alleviate her pain, and remove the cancer. Her recovery will be 4-6 weeks, and she is unsure of when she can fully return to work. Leanna works full time as a nurse and comes to work (usually in pain) and takes amazing care of her patients. Let us take care of her now! Leanna needs our prayers and support during this tough time.
