Everyone who knows Natalie Baker knows how full of life she is! They also know how much she loves her sweet son, Wyatt and her adorable mom, Jude. Mama Jude would like to reach out to her loved ones for some help during some trying times in Natalie's life. Please read below from Natalie's mom:
Life can change overnight...
Just a couple of months after recovering from a skin cancer mark that had to be surgically removed, my beautiful daughter Natalie went in for her first routine mammogram in October expecting to hear all is well when that is not what we ended up hearing...
Breast cancer.
Natalie was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. She has shown remarkable courage and is a true testament that attitude is everything!
And so the journey begins. She has a team of doctors and an endless list of appointments, tests, biopsies, procedures, waiting, more tests, more procedures, and waiting some more. Not to mention the gut wrenching days and sleepless nights!
Natalie had her lumpectomy surgery two weeks ago where they removed the tumor from her breast and her sentinel lymph node under her arm. We are so grateful they were able to remove the tumor with clear margins and her lymph node did not have cancer in it.
Her prognosis is positive and with continued excellent care, we will get her over the finish line, but the aftercare treatments on top of her portion of her current medical bills are so expensive. The co-pays in addition to the cost of treatments on a single mothers income will take it's toll. For example, Natalie will begin a 6-week radiation process this month that is 28 treatments of radiation at $40 co-pay each visit, $100 biopsy co-pays, $200 MRI co-pays, all on top of many various other costs involved.
We all want her well and to get the best of care possible, so as her Mother I’m asking for a small donation from those that know her, and know what a beautiful person she is. She is and would be the first to do this for any friend in need!
My goal is to raise $3000 to help lift the financial stress during her treatments and recovery. Your contributions to help this cause will be forever appreciated ...
