Vietnamese Family Lost Everything

Our names are Dustin and Cole. We originally hail from Basking Ridge, NJ and Hattiesburg, MS and We are currently teaching English in a small city on the north-central Vietnamese coast. Our school is the top English center in the region, providing opportunities for Vietnamese youth and young adults to improve their English skills and reach brighter futures: studying abroad or finding English-speaking jobs, rather than struggle to make ends meet on the farm or work long, exhausting hours in a factory.
Most of the classes at our school are taught by Vietnamese teachers who expend great time and energy to make sure their students receive the greatest benefit from their English education. One of these teachers, Huong, is our dear friend and colleague for the 2 years that we have been teaching here. Huong is married and has 2 lovely young daughters who also study English with her.
Recently, Huong's family experienced a terrible hardship. She and her husband trusted a long-time family friend with a big investment. However, the investment turned out to be fraudulent and their money disappeared overnight. They are now deep in debt with no forseeable way out. Huong and her husband both work long hours but they have had to sell their house in order to pay outstanding debts.
This money will be used to help Huong and her family get back on their feet and be able to make a downpayment on a new home for their young family. Any gift that you can contribute will be dearly appreciated by Huong, her family, and of course the two of us. She does not know that we have organized this fundraiser on her behalf. We plan to film a reaction video when we tell Huong how much we have raised for her family, and we will post it here.
