Sebastian Crew Youth Olympic path

I’m a rower on the South Eugene Rowing Club in Oregon.  I’ve rowed 3 years starting as an 8th grader.  This spring I was invited to a USRowing Jr selection camp.  This summer I get to be part of 70-80 of the top junior men rowers in the USA.  I will attend the USRowing Jr High Performance (HP) portion of selection camp that is held this year in Ashland, Oregon.  The HP group trains together to represent the US at the CANAMMEX (Canada/USA/Mexico) and at the Club team Nationals as preparation for representing the USA at Junior Worlds or the Junior Olympics in the next years.

Coaching, living on site for 5 weeks and air travel in this training program costs $5580-$5740 depending on which competition I get placed in.   There is some chance of being bumped up into a boat going to Junior Worlds this year in Rotterdam, Netherlands.   I have already received $300 toward my goal so have adjusted the gofundme goal to $300 less of my total goal.

The next Youth Olympic Games will be held in 2018 in Buenos Aires.  I am 16 now.  I will be 18 for the Youth Olympics and it is my goal to work for the crew that goes.

Many thanks for your support!
