LOGISTIC COSTS: FREE MEDICAL EQUIPMENTS FOR GAMBIAN HOSPITALS 

Maimuna Drammeh, a Registered Nurse working in Scotland, has been working with a small charity in Brikama these last number of years called “Class of 93 Kabafita Primary”. Having seen the effects of the Covid 19 Pandemic, Maimuna approached health trusts in Scotland, and their response was phenomenal. September of this year, the health trust donated life-saving equipments such as defibrillators and suction units for emergency crisis situations. Project Gambia, a non-profit organization based in the UK, stepped in to help with logistics and paid for shipping costs. 

We are pleased to announce that the first round of equipments have already arrived in the Gambia and are being distributed with the help of The Gambia Ministry Of Health to the appropriate hospitals; Brikama Hospital being one of the beneficiaries. We've also learned that, our defibrillators are first of its kind in the small West African nation. 

Recently, we've received additional medical equipment from our health trusts under the auspices of 'Project Gambia' vital for providing quality medical care in The Gambia. Equipments received includes Penlon Anaesthetic machines, Electrocardiograph machine and Diagnostic Bladder Ultrasound Machine. The Anaesthetic machines comes with Monitors, Anaesthetic Agent Gas Module and Module Parameter with essential cables for Oxygen saturation, CO2, blood pressure, ECG monitoring, etc.  

We've also received accessories which includes respiratory circuits for manual ventilation, Anaesthetic Oxygen kit, Oxygen Masks and Ambu Bags (also known as Artificial Manual Breathing System, or manual resuscitator self-inflating bag). Guedel Airway, Yankauer Suction tip, Laryngoscope blades and handle, Laryngeal mask Airway, Syringes, Endotracheal Tubes. We've also received 3,000+ Face Shields that will be utilized by our frontline doctors and nurses across the country. 

These equipments are currently under the care of Maimuna, who lives in the UK. Now, we are kindly asking from you all to join hands with us to raise funds to pay for shipping.
