Help Dad & Daughters Rebuild

This is for my brother, John Mendoza, and my two teenage nieces, Gabriella and Marianna. Two weeks ago there was a stove fire while Mari was home alone. She put it out while obtaining carbon monoxide poisoning in the process. With some oxygen in the ER, she’s fine now, but they are displaced for a couple months during the holidays while their home is repaired. Friday night after entering to get some belongings, we discovered they were robbed. The burglars obviously knew the home was temporarily vacant and emptied it. From shoes to televisions, laptops to makeup, every single thing they owned is gone except for the suitcase of clothes they brought to my house. Even their dishes. I know it will take years to replace all their belongings, but I’m hoping we can help them begin the process. My brother is a single father with no co-parent, Mari is a Sophomore in High School, Gabby is a full time CNA at a nursing home facility as well as a full time college student. The home repairs from the fire are being covered by the landlord. There was no renters insurance to replace the stolen items. I was unsure what to put as a goal but was advised to try to have it reflect the actual dollar amount of losses incurred. This is a lifetime of belongings. Thank you for reading their story.
