Christina's Transplant Fund

Hello,

My name is Christina Deleon. I am 38 years of age and I was originally born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. I am a single mother of 3 handsome young men. I moved to Austin in 1999 to provide a better life for my kids. In 2010, I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure, I had been battling kidney failure since a teen due to Hypertension (high blood pressure) and due to having a birth defect of my kidneys. My only functioning kidney finally failed in June 2010 and had to start on in Center Hemodialysis. I have raised my kids, made sure they completed their education and to finally see them walk the stage at their graduation. Throughout this difficult journey I have held my employment at Spec’s as I have been patiently waiting for my time to be put on the transplant list for a new kidney. Now that time has come. The only and final step to get the process going is to raise the funds needed to purchase my medication. I need Ten Thousand Dollars to be able to purchase the medication that I will need to keep the kidney from being rejected by my body.

That brings me to today, I am reaching out to everyone for help to raise this money and I don’t have much family.  Even though I continued to work, Medicare only covers 80% of the cost. After 3 years of the transplant I will no longer receive Medicare coverage for the medication I will need.
