Pam's Missions Trip to Africa

Hello Friends and Family,
Most of you that know me will probably be surprised that I’m heading off on this adventure... A mission trip to Africa is never something I saw myself doing. Over the past several years I have had the privilege of financially supporting family and friends in their mission adventures all over the world, but I have never had the desire to actually go myself. This started changing for me last year when I visited my brother and his wife in Florida and had the chance to tour the World Head Quarters of Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ). The stories that I heard truly made me feel as though I had gone on missions with them. I saw for the first time how much of an incredible impact my support has made over the past several years, and how much it has helped them accomplish. The number of lives that have been impacted and hearts that have been changed by their work completely overwhelmed me. Knowing we have supported several others only multiplied this emotion. It was then that I realized that even $1 is so significant to impacting hearts in this world, and that every time I have supported someone, my prayers have actually gone with them. The pictures I’ve seen and stories I’ve heard are tangible evidence of answered prayers. Since then I’ve had a growing desire to go.
I've heard many people say that love looks like something. I truly believe this! It looks like going. It looks like serving. It looks like giving. It looks like praying with people that are desperate for hope, for love, for healing, and so much more. My desire is to serve where and how I can, and to see people encounter the love of Jesus. This trip gives me an opportunity to do all of these things.

Here are the details for our trip:
We are going to Uganda, Africa and will be there from July 21st through 31st. I’m going with our church, Zion Christian Fellowship. The total cost of the trip is $3000 and due by July 15th.
