CHEMO FREE

Donation protected
Many of you know my story and have been following my journey, but for those of you who don't know here is the reason behind this campaign! In 2014, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. This diagnosis took my family and friends by utter surprise because I was only the ripe age of 34 years old. The doctors wanted me to do 12 rounds of chemotherapy along with several doses of what they call "maintenance therapy ". It was a difficult journey but with the help of family, friends, coworkers, and other outside support I was able to complete the treatments in June of 2015 and was ready to move forward with my life. Mission aborted, right? Well, for several months I've been experiencing headaches and finally doctors have pinpointed the cause. With that being said I have successfully again completed 15 rounds of radiation and now I have several more rounds of chemotherapy to undergo. I asked the doctors how long is this suppose to go on and their answer was indefinite, however there are other treatments that are not covered by insurance that you can explore. My mother and I began to research alternatives and have found that there is a "chemo free" life. Your contributions to this campaign will help provide me the chance to seek the additional resources I need to be whole and healthy again, a mom, a wife, a sister, a friend, an educator, and just plain ole Iyonna Babb. Thanks so much for your support and please feel free to share as we "Kick Cancer's butt once and for all "!
