To know Diane DeCarlo is to love her. I asked her once what her favorite character trait was and she said, "joy". Well, that was a big "Duh" on my part because Diane exudes joy-she can't help it. It's who she is because of the joy in her relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ. Diane is fun and full of life. She leads a "Body and Soul" exercise class in our community. She is a leader of a women's bible study and volunteers at many events, especially ones that work with children which makes perfect sense as she has 7 grandkids who are the light of her life. Family and friends are a definite priority for her. She is an encourager, prayer warrior, and leader in every sense of the word.
Recently, after a period of declining health, Diane was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. We know there is no cure for Parkinson's, but with proper medical care and instruction, we anticipate an opportunity to slow the progression of this disease in her life.
Diane's desire at this point is 2-fold, 1-that God get the glory through how she honors Him through this process and , 2-that she have the opportunity to go to the Sanoviv Medical facility in Baja, California, Mexico, for treatment and instruction.
Sanoviv is world renowned for their holistic and integrative approach to wellness and their ability to find solutions not commonly found in traditional Western medicine. The funds we raise with this campaign will send Diane for a 2-week extensive program to Sanoviv where we are hopeful that the battery of diagnostic exams and tests, along with counseling and the alternative choices of treatments can help her with the care and instruction needed to tackle the challenges she will be facing and curb the advancement of her disease. In addition to the costs of the trip to Sanoviv we hope to cover possible continuing expenses that will be long term since her disease is only treatable, not curable.
