Help Tracy with the Mayo

Hi, I’m Tracy Chestnut. I’ve always liked to have fun. I even love to put mayo on my hotdogs. However, I’m not raising funds for hotdogs.

On January 12, I will be checking into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN for a 5-7 day stay. My rheumatologist is sending me hoping they will be able to find the right diagnoses and treatment plan for me. I have inflammatory arthritis, but in the last year other markers in my blood have turned positive and now I have to wear oxygen all the time, my lungs are not working right. None of these things should go together without other things in place first. It is a progressive disease, but it’s progressing in the wrong way. It has been determined that I am a very complicated case. Story of my life.

Anyway, My oldest Kit will be going with me. Kit has turned into my health Advocat. I get confused easily and start slurring my speech. Kit has no problem speaking up. I’m attempting to raise $1400.00, I actually need $1200.00 but I know GFM keeps some.

Here is a breakdown: Gas for our awesome little red car: $200, Cheapest hotel I could find for possible 7 nights: 460.00, Food, hopefully there is a close Taco Bell: 40.00, Copay help,  1 internal doctor and 4 specialist, plus the hospital: 500.00.

I hate to ask for money this way, but I have not been able to work in a year and a half. It is possible that we will be moving back to Omaha when this is all figured out. It’s hard to be in KC when all of your friends and family are in Omaha, especially now. Any extra funds raised will go into our moving fund.

Thank you for any amount you can give, we appreciate it. It’s been an incredibly hard couple years. When this is all over, and the pandemic is over, we will have a giant hot dog roast in the park with all the ketchup and mayo we can get!
