As some of you have heard Adam had a motorcycle accident on 4-16-2016 around 10:30pm. He was coming back from the Dells when he was driving on the on ramp and hit some gravel and the bike slide out from under him. He was then taken to Baraboo where he was then med-flighted to UW Madison. He was wearing a helmet, thank god, but did shatter his T4 vertebrae and severed his spinal cord. He then was taken to surgery to fix what they could. The doctors ended up putting TWO 7 inch rods on both sides of his back and also pins in his vertebraes to help realine his spine. There was nothing they could do to fix his spinal cord. Since the doctors couldn't fix his spinal cord they informed us all that he will no longer be able to walk. That there is a 10% chance that he will walk again. Well for those who know Adam knows that he looked at the doctor and said I will walk again. With that stubbornness and positive attitude he will do it. It will just take time.
Adam is currently in rehab at the brand new UW Health Rehabilitation Center. He arrived there Friday the 22nd. He has been doinf great in rehab already.
Adam currently is only having visitors on Saturday and Sunday minus a couple of people that are on a list that can visit during the week.
I am his sister and I am doing this and other fundraisers to help pay for his medical expenses throughout his life and for our parents getting the house wheelchair accessible. Also for helping buy a car that can be converted so he can drive until he is able to walk. Also for just some fun money that he can use to go and explore life.
We appreciate all the support and love from everyone. It doesn't matter how much or how little the donation is any bit makes a big difference. So thank you all.
