<div>Kevin was riding his motorcycle northbound on Route 40 through Edgewood when a driver made a U-turn and t-boned him with their Lincoln Navigator. Kevin’s bike was crushed and had to be mechanically removed from his body.

<div>He sustained several serious injuries, including a fractured skull and epidural hematoma, an open fracture of his tibia and fibula (lower leg bones), a broken heel, a broken ankle, and a broken hand in three places. They were able to drain the blood from his brain and relieve the pressure. He was intubated and placed on a ventilator. Thankfully, the bleeding has stopped and his brain is slowly repositioning itself back to normal.

<div>Thanks to the grace of God and the amazing staff at Johns Hopkins, he is still in critical care but is starting to stabilize. He has undergone several surgeries in the past few days and still has several more upcoming as the surgeons focus on reconstructing his leg. They are hopeful they will be able to restore his ability to walk.

<div>Once he is past this critical phase, he will have many months of intense rehabilitation where he will have to learn to walk, use his hand, and regain his independence.

<div>Kevin works full-time and is one of the hardest working and kindest people we know. He is loved and cherished by friends and family. Kevin rarely asks for help, but now we need to ask for it. We’re doing everything we can to help his recovery, but the costs ahead are overwhelming. Even with insurance and legal action underway, the financial burden far exceeds what is covered.

<div>Your donations will be used solely for Kevin’s medical care — immediate and future surgeries, ICU stays, scans and imaging — short term and long term rehabilitation, mobility aids and home modifications, legal costs, and associate living expenses and lost wages during recovery.
