Sarah Renee Jennings Memorial Fund

Our dear friend, Sarah, was diagnosed with breast cancer in July of this year. I have sat here and gone back and forth on how to honor her in this little blank box, and words fail me. How do I convey the depth of meaning and joy she is to her husband and four beautiful children? How do I express how strong, and wise, and cherished she is to so, so many? I feel in this moment, the best way to convey, is through her lens. She has shown so much faith, and grace and I think her perspective is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever witnessed. I ask that you take a moment to receive her words, and then to donate to support her family! Anyone who has ever personally been through, or has witnessed the throes of a cancer battle, know that despite the bumps in the road, life continues at full speed. Bills must be paid while new bills continue to arrive, monthly  expenses that accompany a family of 6 do not cease, and the ever important expenses to keep her body as healthy as possible so that she can kick cancers ass are of the utmost importance. Her family needs us!

Prayers, donations, support...I know she and her family could never begin to express the gratitude, humility and appreciation they feel. Let us all rally around this family and walk with them through this. Let’s help take some of the weight of the world off of their shoulders so that Sarah can focus on her family and her health, and so that her husband can focus on his own care so he can remain his wife’s and children’s rock!

“There's never a right way to say some things or the perfect timing. I've gone back and forth on posting and I want to be real and transparent because God is doing big things in me during the most difficult time of my life.

The past 2 months have flipped our world upside down. We took a vacation in the middle of June and had a wonderful time seeing St. Louis and Springfield, Illinois. During that time I was beginning to wean the girls and noticed a spot on my right breast that was not budging despite all of my efforts. I had an ultrasound which turned up suspicious. I had a thermogram which confirmed it was questionable and I had a second opinion ultrasound which also was confirmed suspicious. Unfortunately Arkansas is a little behind in a few areas so I was not able to do a liquid biopsy like I had hoped. After a core biopsy it was confirmed on July 11th that I have invasive ductal carcinoma. I have breast cancer.

My story will not end there though. It would take me an entire day of posts to fill in all of the ways God has directed our path and given us comfort and peace. We have been lead to a new church, new friends, new doctors, as well as reconnected with family and friends where healing and forgiveness needed to happen.

I know God did not give me cancer but because of this storm some really amazing things are happening. Many lives are changing for the better, and I praise Him for that. I hope through my experience I can not only continue to grow closer to God but I pray someone will stumble upon my posts and will as well. He is always with us. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. What seems to us as the end may only be His beginning. Lay it all at His feet, give it all over to Him and you will never regret it. #cancersucks #strongerthancancer #igotthis #butGod
