Help for Tom Goss and his family

On the 5th of November, 2020, Tom Goss came to work as usual.... and unexpectedly, an irregular electrical impulse in his transplanted heart caused extreme fluctuations in his heart rate. He blacked out which caused him to fall, landing on his back.  The force of the fall caused a fracture near C5 (midneck) and another fracture near T19 (waistline). He is currently paralyzed and numb from the chest down. That same evening he underwent surgery to stabilize his neck and remove a piece of vertebrae that broke off. The next day he had permanent pacemaker put in and has been in Neuro ICU since. His diaphragm was affected by the fracture and required a tracheostomy, but his breathing is improving. But, true to form, Tom continues to be a warrior. He has sporadic feelings in his feet and legs, not continuous, but we continue to have hope. Despite all that happened to him, Tom continues to stay positive and optimistic. As you all know, Tom has always been a tremendous source of motivation and courage. To everyone he meets all are just amazed at the beautiful person he is and the messages of hope and love that he spreads. This page was created to give an opportunity for everyone who knows Tom and would like to help his family financially in this hard time. Any help is much appreciated, even messages of love, hope and prayers from all! As we know, with the pandemic, he isn’t allowed visitors so this an even more trying time for him and his family.
