Dear Friends of New Hope of Children Cambodia,
NHCA needs your help and support! Since last asking for your help we have had some new problems. Thank you first of all for all the wonderful support the school and my family received last time. The money raised through you has kept the school going for more than 8 months.
The money we got was used to pay: teacher’s wages, breakfast for the children, electricity, pay the bank for the land and other school expenses. This has let us continued to teach and support the children of the school. So thank you all very much.
About 5 months ago the NHCA web site no longer worked. We don’t know why but because of that people who wanted to support the school could not donate anymore. Also because of the very bad heat we lost two of Lucky’s piglet and about sixty baby chickens and our rooster. We have 35 chickens left now. The money we could have got was going to help pay the school’s expenses for the next few months.
We started the breakfast club with a $800 USD donation from my good friend Suzan for fundraise to support feeding program . That worked very well and the children were very happy to have food with about 80 children coming for breakfast each day. This has now stopped it costs $50 a week to buy food that we don’t have. When the chickens are big enough we will be able use the eggs for breakfast with rice. Because we had very bad rice season in Cambodia the cost of rice is now $30 per bag. With my own rice I grow I usually get 12 bags per year for my family but this year only 3.
It now costs $800 per month to run the school with no breakfast club. This money is for teacher’s wages, electricity, and bank payment for land. The bank loan still has 1 year to go with $2400 USD still owing that we pay off at $200 USD a month.
I am hoping that you might be able to help the school. We are trying to raise enough money to keep the school going for the next 6 months and maybe pay off a big part of the loan.
Any amount you can afford will help the school. Cambodia Schools of Hope are supporting the school for the next few months but after that we are not sure what might happen.

We hoped that we would not have to ask for more donations, but because of all the things that have happened we need more time and money to keep the school going. We still hope that in the future we will have money coming from our farm and sewing projects.
We have needed to use Barbie Chris Facebook as mine will go to the stripe account. This charges lots for withdrawing money.
