As many who already know us will have heard we lost our beautiful boy loki to cancer on Tuesday 17th November. He was an amazing dog who loved to cuddle and play and was the centre of our worlds. He became suddenly very sick the Friday before and on Monday we were given the devastating news there was nothing more we could do for him and that he was in alot of pain.
We made the hardest choice of our lives to end his suffering. We are lost and broken without him just as much as defa his constant companion is.
We didn't want to ask for help but my partner clark and I have no other option. We have to keep going for our girl Defa. We can't do that without some help. To alot of people this may seem like something silly but he was our baby. Our world.
Loki was only 7 years old, a happy healthy lovely little dog. He had some much love to give sometimes I was sure he would burst with excitement. He laid in our arms like a baby every night and "talked" like a wookie when he got excited with his toys. He was the light and soul in our lives and now everything is empty and silent. Hes not here to bark at the dogs on the TV or kick us off the sofa.
We are asking for the publics help if they have anything they can spare during this already horrible time. we like everyone have struggled during the covid-19 pandemic, meaning our finances are not what they usually are. With our baby boy suddenly getting so sick the vets bills soon quickly increased and coupled with needing to have time off from work to be with him for his final days and time to grieve everything is mounting up top of us. We would like to bring his ashes home with us where he belongs before the Christmas period. We aren't able to do this until his vet bills are cleared in full. If I could ask you all to bring him back I would but we know that can never happen so for him just to be here with us and know he is not alone is enough.
We have paid every penny we had already in emergency treatment for him and will have to catch up on our bills but we can deal with that over time. Loki deserves better than being left on a shelf waiting. The cost of loki being put to sleep was £350 (we had him cremated as we live in a rented property and never wanted him to be left behind) we then still have the rest of the treatment bill to pay which is another £230. If anyone can help with even just £1 we would be eternally grateful.
If you read all that then thank you even if you can't help for taking the time to care.
Hold you furr babies extra close they give us so much and we don't have them for long.
