As many of you know, Natasha Byrdine was in a serious car accident on Friday, May 27, 2016 that led to brain trauma, broken bones and surgery. Her family and friends say she is a fighter and responds best to a challenge. Now, she is relying on the strength, love and support of those around her to help her in the fight of her life. Please give what you can to help with the immediate costs her family is experiencing as they sit by her bedside and the financial support they will need to help her with her recovery.
For those who may not know me, my name is Andrea Marshall. I work at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences and Natasha's mom, Judy, is on my team at work. We are close community, both grew up in Whitby and my family has known Judy and her family for many years.
The family has some immediate needs for the funds to cover travel and hotel expenses so they can remain close to Natasha during this pivotal time of her recovery. As you can imagine, they want to spend every moment with her and being able to stay at a hotel close to the hospital where Natasha is being cared for is so important. I am connecting with Judy regularly and will ensure your many thoughtful donations will transferred to her. Judy has indicated she is putting them in a special account so she can access the funds for whatever Natasha and the family needs.
Some of you may have seen this message on Judy's Facebook but she asked me to send this along to the many people who have been so generous and showed so much sympathy and support during this tragic time:
Dear Family and Friends:
Thank you, each and every one of you, for everything that you have done for us - far, far beyond what we ever expected or imagined.
We are writing this with gladness in our hearts and tears in our eyes. Your generous and loving support in enabling us to stay at Natasha's side means more to us than we can ever say.
Your support has made me a stronger person and I will be forever grateful.
Please continue to keep Natasha and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
