Brandy Morris is a 42 year old mother, married with two children, ages 15 and 12 from Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated nearly a year ago with dual Master degrees, MSN-Forensics and MS Criminal Justice. On November 10, 2020, she was driving home from her 12 hour shift at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and was hit by another driver, causing a very serious accident. The accident occurred a few blocks from home. Brandy was immediately taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with multiple injuries, and underwent emergency surgery to repair her shattered wrist/hand to save it from permanent nerve damage. Down the road she will need a second surgery on that wrist. On 11/16, Brandy had surgery on her broken right heel. She suffered a concussion and continues to have some memory loss, 2 cervical fractures in her vertebrae, an arterial tear in a vessel in her neck region, a broken toe on her left foot and seat belt and air bag injuries. On 11/18/2020, Brandy is in stable condition and has been moved to a rehabilitation hospital for her long road to recovery in the coming weeks. She misses her children dearly as she continues to be apart from them. In addition to this burden, and having recovered from COVID-19 in May, her husband, David, recently lost his job due to Covid cutbacks that has affected so many companies. He continues to seek employment at this time. This GoFundMe is to raise money to help cover her living expenses as Brandy will be on disability for several months. We are hoping to provide some comfort and financial relief while she works hard toward her recovery. We continue to pray that the cited driver has car insurance to help cover her medical bills. This is currently under investigation. Because of this, any donations will go toward Brandy’s family’s living expenses. Brandy is determined to get back to work, in the job she loves so dearly. She is dedicated to the children in our community, helping those that are victims of abuse. Giving back the support that she has given so many in our community, will help her through this difficult time, and will lift some of the burden and shine a light on her pathway to recovery. We will share more of her recovery journey soon. I am Brandy’s mother, and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!
