They say the hardest part of creating a fund, is asking for help.

I believe this to be true, and the power of people working together. I also believe if you honor your voice, ask for what you need, you can achieve even more than you ever dreamed possible.

This last December, my 12 year old Chinese Crested’s, Neptune and Jupiter, were diagnosed with beginning stages of heart disease and hypothyroidism, I was devastated and concerned about how I could meet their needs for ongoing medical treatment.

Then in January, after returning from my grandfather’s funeral, my marriage of 15 years ended. I felt overwhelmed.

By March, I moved my home and business into an apartment.

With the dog’s medical expenses, dissolution fees, an increase in rent and apartment deposits, my years of savings were quickly depleted.

A friend called and suggested that I take him up on the opportunity to travel with him down the West Coast, from Seattle to California, during the months of June and July.  This aligned with my business plan to expand beyond Washington State.

With no funds, I did not see how this would be possible.

After much consideration, I decided it was time to follow my heart and take the steps toward a new start.

In the last 4 months I have saved enough to cover the basics. But, I am far from where I need to be.
