Help KAWS save Ronnie (Tron)

Donation protected
Kauai Animal Welfare Society (KAWS) needs your help!  We are raising money to give Tron another chance at life. Because KAWS does not have a facility, we will need to board him locally until we find a dog-savvy foster or forever family. Boarding costs $25/day which adds up quickly. Our fundraising goal would provide boarding for Tron for up to 3 months. During that time, Tron will also need focused training, which will require additional funding, so we will update this campaign when we know that cost. KAWS is 100% funded by donations, and every donation helps us keep animals like Tron alive.

Tron is a sweet Kaua`i dog who lost his family when they had to move. They did the responsible thing and rehomed him but he ended up at the shelter.  We pulled Tron because he was not going to be placed on the adoption floor, or placed in a foster home.  Tron had a hard time with male dogs and he was not getting the exercise this sporty guy needs so he was becoming extremely kennel stressed. Tron is very nice and does not jump up, knows sit, and is really good with people.

Tron just needs solid training and an environment that will support him in becoming the dog we know he can be.  If you are interested in fostering or adopting Tron, email us at i[email redacted] ! In the right home, he will be a great dog!

We are SO grateful for your support in saving Tron! The support of the community and volunteers who help us daily on our mission to save Kaua`i’s animals means so much to us.

Thank you in advance for your donation! Anything we raise above and beyond our goal will be used to save other at risk animals. If you can’t donate, please help us to spread the word about this campaign.

About KAWS

For years, Kaua`i has struggled with over populations of stray dogs and cats. In 2015, our always-full Kaua`i Humane Society (KHS) euthanized over 400 dogs and 1600 cats. Kaua`i Animal Welfare Society (KAWS) is working to reduce these staggering numbers. Currently, we are an added resource to KHS’s adoption program by promoting the dogs and seeking out alternative rescues and homes, which are often found on the mainland. Our commitment is to find homes for all animals, placing special attention to the dogs at KHS who are at risk, i.e. been at the shelter over three months and/or who are starting to show signs of kennel stress.
