Felicia Renaud and Family

Hello to All of You! I am Felicia, a normally active Mom and Wife. I have 3 kids, our eldest is in college (in the middle of this picture), and our set of fraternal twins are in 8th grade. I have an amazing husband to be with every day that we are blessed to be given.  We have known each other for about 20 years. A great friendship we built upon that has brought us to here and now! 

Recently though, I have been feeling more than my usual levels of chronic fatigue and pain. Visiting my  Dr. led to referrals and diagnostic procedures. 
After a CT scan and Ultrasounds this last year a few things FINALLY have been discovered! 
1-Pelvic Congestion Syndrome was the diagnosis that sent me to a vein specialist. (This was found after a few years of eliminating other possible issues!)
 
2-Venous Insufficiency. 

My specialist also brought up an uncommon condition that I have had since birth and did not know until October of this year.

3-Nutcracker Syndrome, or Renal Vein Entrapment.    

The first of a few surgeries to come will begin in December. It has been an overwhelming few months for my family. We have stretched our monetary means as far as we can without my full-time income plus Phil's. I have already been off work for 3 months. We anticipate it being at least another 3 months before all surgeries for me are complete, if not longer, due to the rarity of conditions I am dealing with.  

We have used our community resources for rent assistance earlier in the year during the initial Covid Shutdowns.  I am applying for food help from the state while I am on medical leave and using food banks to help with our pantry stock. Not many food banks carry gluten-free items for 2 of the 5 of us with the allergy.


Should we be so blessed to receive donations from you, Dear Reader, the funds would go to help pay our rent and utilities, fuel to and from Dr appointments, and any costs our insurance may not cover with the medical procedures.  

I am currently looking into a  legitimate work-from-home type of job that I may be able to do within the limitations I will have post-op. I will not be returning to the career I had at the time of my medical leave.
