Help the Gurthie family with memorial and burial

Hi everyone, The Gurthie family needs a little help. Unfortunately Howard Gurthie has passed away suddenly on Friday November 13. His children Ben, Evan, Alex, Garrett, and Virginia need some help with the funeral home expenses and the cost of a celebration of life. The family was caught off guard and was not prepared for anything like this. We know that many of you were friends with Howard. He is the reason that the Gurthie family is so well known across the disc golf world. He quit playing years ago so that he could take his kids to tournaments all over the country. The family suffered the loss of Howard's wife Ruth Gurthie 15 years ago and the disc golf community helped tremendously during that time. Howard was a Navy Veteran and a great father. He had been in pain the past few years as he suffered from Crohn's Disease. He is no longer in pain and we were happy to hear that he passed peacefully in his sleep. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers and any donations made will be a great help!
