Charley Moreno leukemia medical fund

On November 10th, my mom took my daddy Charley to the ER after getting a call from his primary doctor telling us his white blood cells were very low and needed to be admitted to the hospital. My heart broke when he didn’t come home that night since I didn’t get to give him a hug or kiss. After many test we learned that his blood cells and platelet counts were abnormal, which led to a diagnosis of APL acute (Leukemia). While my dads recovery rate is high, we are told it will be a battle of a 12 months or more.  Both of my parents will not be able to spend Thanksgiving with us we have always spend all holidays together. It will be hard and difficult for my brother and sister and of course myself. My dad is currently staying in the hospital where he will remain for the next month and my mom has been driving and hour back and forth to be with my dad and us. All of these while they are accruing medical bills, fees, medication expenses, and other such things. I’m only 18 and trying to help them out but it’s difficult, my brother is 14 and trying to be tough but his scared also, and my little sister is 11 she has taken it the hardest. And last but not least my mom is 7 months pregnant. No family is ever fully prepared for this and we recognize that although it may be a lot to ask, we need a little help getting through the next few months of his treatment since he will not be able to work. I am thankful that it’s promising that my dad will be in the delivery room with my mom to meet our new baby girl. If you know my dad he is a very happy outgoing man. That doesn’t think twice to help people in need whether he knows you or not. It’s so hard to not be able to see him or hug him.
