Homeless family

My husband and I are trying our best to take care of my homeless niece Rachel and her 2 teenagers Demetrious and Deja. She lost her home and job when Covid hit. They had been living out of her car since. They have been in 7 different schools and have never had a Christmas tree.( we have a tree) but my point is we promised them a happy Christmas this year. Then my son suddenly passed away on November 2,2020. I don’t think I can keep this promise now. This is a tragedy in every way. My husband’s and I are on a fixed income and in mourning. Rachel is struggling with physical and mental issues brought on by abuse, she is currently getting the medical and mental care she needs. These are good kids with a strong momma who are just trying to get out on their own and figure out how they fit in here and need a few things for winter. Rachel is going to need a better car. She needs money for the small but important things like gas. She has not received any unemployment yet because she is from out of state. She try’s daily to get into the doctors and places she needs to help her with her medical and mental health. The kids are more accepted here in the Lehigh valley and I would not want them to have to go back to Tn. Housing is closed because of Covid. The 2 kids have been bullied and harassed because they are biracial and gay. They are from the Deep South and stand a better chance here in the Lehigh Valley. I want to give them that chance but I am even more limited physically and mentally since my son’s death. They are living in one room in my house and I need them to be able to move on and help with the cost of living. Any help will go right to taking care of them. Thank your and god bless.
