Hi, I just want to introduce myself I’m Danielle Del Vicario and my wife is Heather Del Vicario. We’ve been married for 4 years but together for almost 10 1/2 years. We’ve talked about this for many years, but at the time we weren’t ready. But now we are, We want to have a baby. And as many of you know it’s not as simple as it would be if we were a heterosexual couple. Being a same sex couple comes with its disadvantages, we can’t just try to have a baby, it comes with lots of planning. And sadly we are going to have to do IVF. We need to pick a Sperm Bank and then a donor for sperm, so LOTS of choices there, and it’s sad how expensive just that little is. Then on top of that praying it takes the First time. And we won’t have to do this again and again. But for a couple that loves each other and wants nothing more then to share that love with a little bundle of joy for the rest of our lives, it’s expensive for us to even try to conceive. We are looking at lots of doctors appointments, buying sperm, possibly having back up sperm it all adds up. And we are looking at lots of $$$$ for each try. And the clinic we are using most of the expenses are covered by the insurance but $3,000 and then one of the drugs that we need to make this happen which is another $3,500 and I’m not one who likes to ask, and this isn’t easy.
