The Art of Giving

What’s up its tyler again and as you all know last year I started a Christmas drive that aimed to give back to the homeless population on skidrow. What this consisted of was donating food, clothes, toys, and whatever safe medicine we could give. My family also spent hours the night before preparing breakfast that we would pass out. This year I’m going back to the same place and spot to give whatever I can. This year has been tough on all of us but especially for the homeless and lower income due to covid. From July of last year to this July the population has grown by 13% bringing the total of homeless population in LA county to 66,000. This means that I’m expecting to help even more people this year. I first contemplated the drive this year because of covid but then I really thought about it and realized that I have the luxury to even think about it while these struggling families and people have no choice, therefore I decided to go through with it. This year I’m asking for a little more then previous because I want to actually purchase a lot more for them especially masks and whatever other PPE I can buy for them. As far as donations I’m taking anything you are all willing to donate whether that’s clothes, blankets, food, toys, tarps, toilet paper, and whatever else you can think of. The monetary donations will go towards filling in the gaps of whatever is not donated and I know times are tough and if you can’t donate then thank you for even reading this I do appreciate it.
