El huracán Eta, que tocó tierra en el Caribe Norte Nicaragüense con categoría 5, intensas lluvias, vientos de hasta 350 kilómetros por hora y marejadas de 6.4 metros, su lento avance de entre 4 y 8 kilómetros por hora por las costa Caribe Nicaragua dejó una estela de destrucción, inundaciones y deslaves.
Bilwi, mi tierra natal fue una de las ciudades más afectadas tras el paso del HURACÁN ETA. Entre ellos mi abuelita Cecilia, de 80años perdió por completo el techo de su humilde morada y con ello muchas otros objetos que había acumulado para su vida de abuelita juvilada. Por gracia de Dios, ella no se encontraba dentro de la casa, pero sí sus 5 nietos de 2,4,6,8 años que viven con ella todos está bien, pero mí abuela perdió lo que en una vida logró construir con esfuerzo y sudor. Ella es el gran ejemplo de fortaleza y gallardía que tiene nuestra población Miskita. Y si aún tuviese la fuerza que le caracteriza con clavo en mano reconstruiria su casa, pero el tiempo se refleja en su cuerpo y le impide hacer lo que un día hubiese podido hacer...
Pido ayuda para ella, quien quiere con toda sus fuerzas poder volver a dormír en una cama seca, bajo el techo de su propia casa.
