Help Mayhem

Recently we found out that our new cat Mayhem has Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is a disease that causes his heart muscle to become abnormally thick. Which makes it hard for his heart to pump blood. This is been causing him to have breathing problems because his heart is restricting the amount of room for his lungs. He's only a year old so this is super rare for his age. We have to take him to a cardiologist to get an echocardiogram to know what the next steps would be to insure he lives a long and healthy life. The medical treatments he will need will cost an upwards of 6,000. Mayhem is a goofy and snuggly cat. We want to make sure that he can live a long and healthy life and if we don't go through with his medical treatments he won't have much longer to live. He will go into cardiac arrest. We haven't had him long but he has already became part of our family and that's why we are fighting to keep him in our life. No one deserves to suffer before that have even really lived their lives. Our other cat Rainbow and him have become the best of friends and they are inseparable. She would be devastated if something happened to him. Even if we could get a portion of the vet bills donated would be an amazing help.
