Help me prevent suicides please

Hi everyone, I’m a Voluntary Crisis Negotiator and Suicide Intervention and Recovery specialist. This second lockdown is proving too much for lonely, isolated people. Suicide is at its highest. I work in ways no others do. I prevent the suicide whilst in its throes and work with that person on a 1-1 until recovery, which can take months to a few years. Sometimes it’s practicalities that can make a huge difference. However, I am not funded and cannot buy some of the solutions necessitated. With Christmas coming up, many more people are going into a psychological crisis. Far too many are isolated and alone. Again, yesterday another call to an elderly gentleman - isolated, lonely, fearful, anxious about his poor finances and living on one meal a day. I have a lady in her 50’s in a similar position. A young musician still struggling. A young man who hasn’t seen his family since the first lockdown. All are without communication to the outside world. Normally, I buddy them up, but when they don’t even have a phone and internet, it closes them off from life and the entire world. These are just some of the many I see. It’s this little group who I could help break the loneliness and isolation if only they had phones and internet or laptops. Do any of you have old working unlocked phones or laptops please? Can anyone please help donate for the internet too for them? I have be told to approach many other charities, but by the time they process this, it’s going to be between 4-12 weeks before they get a yay or nay. It might be too late.
