Emergency housing for queer black femme couple

PLS READ!!! Hello everyone! My girlfriend and I are fundraising to help pay rent for a new place to live because we’ve recently been unexpectedly displaced from our living situation by a racist homeowner who’s home we’ve been staying in . To give some background, my girlfriend and I both come from toxic families and were living in this setting due to issues at home. Our stay there was arranged through a “friend” who’s mother owned the house and allowed us to be tenants in their home, in which the mother and her 3 children lived . What we did not know prior to living in the house was that the mother is racist, which is something that our “friend “ was aware of and failed to inform us about. We would not have felt comfortable nor safe knowingly staying in a home owned and operated by a racist white woman or her internally racist children. (UPDATE: on Nov 9th the mother further vocalized that she does not want us in her house anymore as well as attempting to insult us . In addition, she said that she wants us gone even before the date she stated. Though we legally do not have to leave before that date, we no longer feel safe in the house and have to lock our room at night until we make other temporary living arrangements .)The racism did not become blatantly apparent until the family decided that on top of being rent paying tenants, that we should also be in-house maids and clean messes that were created by other household members. We absolutely were not about to clean up a racist white woman’s home as if we owe her anything besides rent for our stay.Initially upon moving in , the mother stated that we don’t have to worry about loading the dishwasher or doing chores that expanded beyond the mess we create ourselves. After months of being in the house, the mother created a chore list which included things that we don’t interact with such as pulling weeds or cleaning the art room which we are never in. In the announcement that prefaced the list , the mother stated that the “she feels like a SLAVE cleaning up around the house ”. We were shocked and hurt that she felt comfortable making such an ignorant racist remark ,especially in the presence of her black tenants. When my girlfriend and I addressed the mother about the comment, she claimed that she was joking and that she feels like a slave because she’s a mother , though she choosably cleans up after her 16, 18, and 21 year old kids. Also, it should be stated that the family including the mother do not habitually clean the home, and there is a constant slew of clothes, shoes , and boxes in common use areas of the home that make it difficult to be comfortable because of the mess. All of this was present prior to moving in and it is admitted that it has been like that for years. She then gave us a notice to leave her house for the first time ,through text. She also said that we could no longer eat their food nor use their towels to shower with, both of which were initially agreed to be included in the price of rent. 2 weeks later , the mother retracted her statement and said that we can continue to live there if we get more “involved around the house “ and stated that they would have a meeting to discuss clearly what was being asked of us. This meeting was never held though we reminded them about it . We continued to rinse our dishes and load the dishwasher when it was available to be loaded. We were also told that we only needed to soak the dishes and that they would be loaded when she herself loaded it. On November 6th , we received a group text message saying that we can no longer stay because there are “too many people in the house”. In addition to asking us to leave the house without a valid reason, she referred to us as animals and said that our parents would be ashamed of us and made comments about us smoking marijuana. We did not respond to these racist and judgmental comments, and simply said ‘okay’ and that we will be gone prior to the date . We are determined to get through this though we have a little less than a month to find a safe place that is is affordable for us both. Thank you in advance for reading this and sharing and if your can please donate, anything is appreciated - Antezha & Zaina
