Support for Baby Mason and Family

Donation protected
Hi everyone, I am starting this campaign in order to raise funds for my sister Samantha and her family, to help them get by while they are staying in Vancouver to be with baby Mason during is stay at Vancouver Children’s Hospital. I will give you some background on what happened and why they are there and why they could really use some support, love and kindness. On Thursday October 29th 2020 my Samantha Schoeler was admitted to Kamloops hospital with labour pains, she was 2 days shy of hitting her 30 week point. Fortunately they were able to stabilize her for the two days bringing her to the 30 week mark, which we thought meant they could stay in Kamloops, on Saturday October 31st 2020 Baby Mason William Collins was brought into this world 2 months early at a weight of 3lb.3oz. He was very tiny, Poor Mason was struggling to breathe and had to be intubated as his tiny lungs were not fully developed because he was so early. Meanwhile my sister Samantha was experiencing some complications of her own and needed to have surgery which also resulted in more complications resulting in her needing multiple blood transfusions. We were all hoping that the family could stay in Kamloops near the family home, but around 10:30pm that night we were told that baby Mason was to be flown to Vancouver Children’s Hospital the next morning due to some bruising on his face and possible bleeding on the brain. Samantha was to follow via ambulance to Vancouver as well. Both mother and son were in need of medical attention that Kamloops hospital were not equipped for. The father Andrew moved as quickly as he could tying up lose ends at home, getting himself and my niece Sophia ready for the long and uncertain journey to the lower mainland so that the family could be together during these difficult times. Unfortunately because Baby Mason was in such a hurry to enter this world the family was not prepared for any of this and Andrew had to leave work at very short notice, and he works for a small company that doesn’t have paid leave resulting in some financial struggles because currently the family has no income coming in but still need to pay all the bills for home while covering the expenses that build up while living away from home for an extended period of time. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
