National Young Leaders Conference, D.C.

I am in my sophomore year at Northwest Career & Technical Academy & have been selected to represent my school as a member at the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.  The Congressional Youth Leadership Council nominates exceptional students from around the country to attend an experiential educational program.  I will be able to interact with many prominent men and women whom most of us only read about in the news.  For nine days, I will witness our nation's democracy in action and hear from members of Congress, the executive branch and the national news media.  This is a very honorable experience, but, the reason I'm reaching out to you is that I need to raise the funds to cover the tuition & plane ticket. The conference tuition is $2445 & I also have to pay for air fare & meals.  I am earning money on my own, but with the help of family & friends, I will be able to go.  Your support for my sponsorship would be greatly appreciated & I will definitely update everyone on how the trip was.
