In the very early morning hours, approximately 2:00am, on Saturday, October 17, 2020 our dear friends Henry, Tamara, and two of their three children awoke to find their Harrisburg home on fire. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely.
This devastating disaster resulted in four homes affected by this fire and four families displaced from their homes. Henry, a pastor at a church in downtown Harrisburg, Tamara- who works at a medical center in the area, and their family lost everything but the clothing (pajamas) they were wearing at the time to the fire. There is an immediate financial need for this family.
The fire left this family without a home to return to. Essentially, this leaves them homeless. Currently, they are staying with family in the Harrisburg area, but their financial need is very real. They now have to replace everything from basic essentials like clothing, shoes and other necessities while also keeping up with their monthly financial obligations.
To help this wonderful, kind, giving family who always shows up to help others, we are asking for financial donations to help them make ends meet. As Pastor and First Lady of their church, their passion is feeding the homeless and helping the less fortunate. We are simply asking for financial help during this difficult, uncertain, and overwhelming time.
Their youngest son is currently at college at Penn State. These wonderful, hard working parents are now faced with the financial burden of having to pay the cost of his tuition for next semester in addition to these new, overwhelming, financial needs.
We are hoping to raise enough to cover the next few months of expenses/bills the cost of the tuition for next semester (hopefully two) for their son, and a fraction of the overwhelming costs of starting over after losing all of their possessions.
