Terrapin Employee Fund - Virtual Tip Jar!

Due to the government mandated closures of all bars & restaurants in New York State, most of our employees at Terrapin are currently out of work for the next few weeks - likely longer. Hourly and tipped employees will be the hardest hit by this situation as they are primarily dependent on our doors being open. 

This is by far the hardest part of the current situation for us, and one of the hardest situations I have faced as a restaurant owner. We are doing all that we can to provide for our staff, and we're also trying to keep our business afloat so that they have a place to come back to once this pandemic is over. 

Some of you have reached out to us asking how you can help. Thank you! Hospitality is all about providing for and taking care of; about community and people. Many of our team members have been serving you for a long time, some as long as 20 years, and now I'm asking you to help take care of them.  

We've set up this "virtual tip jar" for our tipped employees. All funds donated will be distributed among our front of house employees, based on the hours they worked over the last two weeks - just like a giant tip pool. 

Thank you for your love and support. We already miss you, and we can't wait to re-open our doors when this is all over. I'm so grateful to be a part of this community, especially during these times.
