Recovery fund for Word Curry

As some of you may know Word was involved in a hit and run accident this evening in Hickory. We thank God that he is alive. Unfortunately he was at the wrong place at the wrong time and encountered an individual driving a stolen truck down the one way street he was riding on going the wrong direction. He tried his best to get out of the way but his leg was pinned between the bike and the truck which did not even let off the gas and fled the scene. He dumped that vehicle and tried to steal another. He has since been caught and is being charged with multiple felonies including felony hit and run causing serious bodily injury. Word has a broken femur and a broken tibia and fibula in the same leg that literally just recovered from his previous break. He is being transferred to Baptist where he will be having surgery on both breaks. Please keep him in your prayers for that.

Times are going to be tough. Going through this again starting at zero seems unfathomable. Im in disbelief and just want to wake up from this terrible dream. But i know God is bigger than we are and he has a plan, even if we dont know what that plan is right now.

We are unsure about his work situation as he just was getting healed from his break in April. And with the uncertainty of insurance with the person involved and Christmas coming we are going to be under alot of stress. Obviosuly our main priority is getting him back to good health and fully recovered, even though we dont quite know what this new journey is going to look like.
