13.1 For Meghan's Learning Center

On March 29, 2017, my beautiful cousin Meghan Flannery went to God. Meghan was only 26 years old yet the impact that she made on this world is one that will be felt for years to come.
Meghan had an unquenchable thirst for life, always wanting to do more. She was a stellar athlete, having played Women's Varsity Soccer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a four-year varsity starter, team captain, and First Team All-Big Ten. Additionally, Meghan ran the Boston Marathon in 2016 in loving dedication to our grandfather while raising money for Ahlzheimers.
After graduating college, Meghan served as a Teach for America Corps Member for two years, teaching middle school math in St. Louis. This path led her to become Director of North Campus Partnership in St. Louis. North Campus is a community centered around education that is located in the heart of north St. Louis and builds a pipeline of success for the children that live within the campus boundaries. As Director of North Campus, Meghan coordinated enrichment and tutoring programs for after-school and summer programs for low income children. Words cannot describe Meghan's passion and how much she really did love these children. To honor Meghan's committment to the children of North Campus, the site was renamed after her and is now the Meghan A. Flannery Learning Center.

On Saturday, April 14, 2018, I will be lacing up my sneakers to run the Newport Half Marathon in loving memory of my cousin and to help raise needed funds for the Meghan A. Flannery Learning Center. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
