Shingles, the Last Straw

My partner Catherine had head and neck cancer and underwent a neck dissection, chemotherapy, and radiation.  She was not able to work during all of it and we did not have health insurance for most of it.  She is doing well now but the radiation damaged her teeth and jaws eventually, which we were told would happen.  A couple of years ago her teeth started falling and breaking out.  Thanks to God and good people and lots of hard work, we have been able to start getting the work done gradually.  We still have almost $3,000.00 of work to go.  

We keep slipping behind financially.  Last week, she woke up with shingles.  We paid the emergency room and other expenses and now there is hardly enough left.  She has health insurance now, but it is not taking care of the expenses as I wish it would.  Catherine works for Florida Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement where as a State employee she has not had a raise for five years and her pay has gone down 3%.  In the meantime, our medical expenses have swamped us. 

To complicate matters, I had an unexpected emergency open heart surgery three years ago due to bacterial endocarditis.  As a result, I lost my job and health insurance at that time.  I am working now, but making less money than before.  My prescription co-pays cost more than groceries every month.

If we could complete Catherine's dental work it would take a huge burden off of us.  She is very self-concious about the way she looks and it affects her ability to eat properly.  She copes with a compromised immune system and pain everyday.  I respectfully ask that if you can, help us with the $3,000 for dental work and $1,500 to catch up on bills.  Thank you for reading this, I know many of us are struggling everyday.
