Help save Simba’s leg

Hello everybody, this fundraiser is for our gorgeous new baby Simba who we found whilst on holiday after taking a wrong turn in the countryside. He was in the bushes, starving, being eaten alive by ticks and fleas and had a broken leg. We were told if we wouldn’t have found him he would have only had a few more days to live.
The wrong turn for us, turned out to be the right turn for him, we managed to get him to the vets in time to save him, he was malnourished, in terrible physical shape and he had so visibly ‘given up’ it was heartbreaking. We took him back home whilst he was being treated for his tic fever. Everyday his confidence grew, his health improved and we could see he was in for a fighting chance. Sadly, his broken leg started to give him more issues as he started to put weight on it.
We saw no other option than to do everything in our power to get this puppy home where he could be cared for correctly and have the loving home we knew we could provide. So planes, trains and automobiles later, we managed to get Simba home. But our relief was short lived. Instantly we could see his leg was no better, it was clear that he was really struggling to put any weight or walk on his leg. After seeing several specialists, spending hours visiting vets all over the country and shedding MANY tears, the options we are left with has led us to this:
Our only option which would result in Simba not loosing his leg is complex surgery. He is such a happy, loving boy who has been through so much in his short life so far and is desperate to play and have a normal life.
We have already spent £3,600 of our own money getting him home and for the treatments he’s had to date. The surgery plus post operational therapy and medicine is going to be an additional £8,200.
We understand this is a difficult time for everyone all over the world but we are kindly asking everyone to just donate anything you can - every penny will help us put Simba through the surgery he needs to give him a chance of a normal life.
We cannot thank you enough for even reading this appeal and we are sincerely grateful for anything that you can give to try to save our babies leg.
