Donate Share Tools for Livelihood Stolen, Need Help! Mike Bowline is a handy man and true Jack of all trades. He is quick to lend a hand to whoever asks, no matter the time of day. He has the gift of gab and keeps people laughing with his clever sense of humor. He is a philosophical and funny man that can lighten any situation. We need more men like Mike in the world, who fix something everyday for the better be it with his tools or kind words. The unthinkable happened to Mike on the 1st of July. He was working on a house that he is going to rent and stopped to take dinner and check on his 84 year old Mother. She has been living in a temporary situation while he gets the house ready. She's had a quadruple bypass, has many stents, diabetes, fibromyalgia, dementia and Mike is her sole caregiver. While he was gone two people that he knows had cased the house and broke in and took five carts with all of his tools and materials for the house. These tools had been collected over the years and are his livelihood. He needs them to make a living, to pay rent for not only himself but his Mother and all the medicine she needs that is out of network. For the last 2.5 months, Mike has done everything possible to recover his tools, he has gone to the police, he has confronted the people he believes stole the tools and he tried to make an insurance claim. To add insult to injury the insurance he has only covers theft of tools that happen while on a job. Mike did not know this and filed it, telling the truth, that he was working on his own home and the insurance will not help him. Unfortunately, we've all probably had something stolen before and know how violating it feels. Compound that with the fact that Mike knows who stole it AND needed those tools to make a living, pays for insurance for situations like this and has reached out to the police and no one will help him. We understand this is such a trying time in the world and that so many are in need. We thank you for reading his story and if it is within your budget, any amount would be so helpful to Mike.
