My name is Luke Carmeci and I am 16 years old. I live in Fort Mill, SC and attend Nation Ford High School. I am in 10th grade and enjoy cross country running and track & field including the 1 mile and 800 meter relay events. I also started an Ultimate Frisbee league.
In January 2016 I was diagnosed with a Cerebral Arteriovenous Malfunction (AVM) which affect 1% of the population. I am having brain surgery in June 2016 at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. My neurosurgeon is Dr. Scott Wait. I will be at Levin for a week to 10 days and will have 5 to 6 weeks of recovery and physical therapy.
Please stop by and visit me. Any donation no matter how big or small is truly appreciated. My family is already facing significant medical bills from my MRI and other preliminary testing. I do have medical insurance, but it is very limited. God bless you and please say a small prayer for me.
