My name is Richard Perrin, I am 67 years of age. In 2006, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.  I used to be a trainer and a jazz guitarist. The symptoms have gotten progressively worse over time, and drugs are not helping at all: Carbidopa/levodopa, the supposed 'gold standard' of drug treatment actually made my symptoms worse(!)

I've tried other drugs such as Amantadine (caused urinary tract problems) and selegiline (no effect) as well.

I have tried various 'neutraceuticals' such as Co-Q10 and L-tyrosine, which have slowed the progression of the disease but have not alleviated the symptoms. There is a ray of hope, however.

There is a relatively new therapy called 'Focused ultra-sound', which is incision-less brain surgery that is designed to significantly reduce or eliminate Parkinson's symptoms!

I had the procedure performed in January 2015 with some success, however, I need to go back to finish the treatment. My symptoms have returned and at this point, I am unable to work.   Finances are under a huge strain .

If I can raise any funds, they will go directly to the treatment provider.

I am trying to  go to Switzerland in late June or early July if possible, so time is of the essence.

Success in the treatment would be a life-changer! It would give me my life back for starters. Being able to play the guitar again would be a real gift.
