Help save our sweet Maya

I am posting this for myself and my mother, a retired senior widow.  Our beloved, Maya, was acting healthy and normal but a very aggressive melanoma was found in her lower jaw, a week and a half ago. She is a happy girl and doesn't know she's sick. She still loves to cuddle, give kisses, say hi to everyone she meets (furry or human), run at the schoolyard, go for long walks, and fetch her ball and stuffed hedgehog toy.

Any donations towards the thousands I'm putting on my high interest credit card, is much appreciated.  I've already raised $2400 privately and $768 on this site. My goal is to raise another $1600 towards the rest of her vet care.  She is doing great; playing, running, fetching her ball and toy hedgehog, gobbling up treats, wagging her tail wildly, happy as can be with great quality of life.

We were so sad to have lost her soul sister, Tovah, to lymphoma in 2008.  We hope to keep Maya around longer. She is only 12 but has the energy and playfulness of a 2 year old.
