Grandma Scam

Hello, This fund raiser is for my mom. On July15, 2020, my mom received a phone call from a girl saying " grandma grandma I am in jail". Then a man gets on the phone claiming to be Steve Young. He says your grand daughter was involved in an accident with serious bodily damage and he needs $30.000 to get her out of jail. He also said you are on a gag order so do not call anyone about this. She then decided to go to the bank and get $10.000 cash and then returned home. She called Steve and said the bank would only let her get that amount out on one day. She then was instructed to put the money in an envelope and seal it with tape. A few minutes later a man came and picked up the envelope. The next day she called my oldest daughter and told her that my youngest daughter was in jail. She called me and I called to see if she had been arrested. She had not. I was able to talk to my uncle who said my mom went to the bank to get more money. I decided to go to her house. On my way I called the sherriff's office and they met me there. As we were filling out the paperwork for a report, Steve called. My mom answered the phone. He told her she will need to deliver the money. He would call her back with an address. He called back and told her he was sending someone for the money. While she was on the phone with him a black suv drove up. He told her to take the envelope to the suv she said no. After a minute, a lady got out of the passenger side and came to the door. This is were I opened the door and pinned her to the wall. She said she was uber. She did not have any ID or sign in her suv showing she worked for uber.The sherriff's came back. He husband was in the suv. After a investigation, he has a warrant for his arrest for the same type of scam. The lady was released. The money she gave to Steve was her retirement funds. She worked as a LPNurse for many years. The money raised would help her fulfill her remaining years on earth. Our family is deeply grateful for any help.
