Hate crime

My name is Jimmy, I’m 21 years old. I am doing this as a last resort. This past Saturday I was assaulted and my car was vandalized, simply because I was hanging out with a friend and her children’s father didn’t like the fact that I am gay. He had busted both my side mirrors and proceeded to smash my back window as well. I have dents all over my vehicle from the piece of wood he was using as his weapon. I have been on my own since I was 16 and am struggling really bad right now. I work two jobs, one of which I need my car for. Even with two jobs I’m barely staying above the water. I work in the restaurant/bar industry where covid closures have hurt a lot of us financially. The funds will be used to pay the deductible to fix my car and pay the rent I’m behind. Yes, I have taken the necessary steps so far and filed a police report. You all have no idea how much it will mean to me. I literally have no one to count on except myself and I’m sucking up my pride even writing this. I completely understand if you aren’t able to help because I get that other people are going through stuff just like me. If you cannot help please at least help me get my story out there. If you decide to help me out I will be forever grateful and words aren’t enough to describe how thankful I am.
