Be a Blessing!

Meet Zion! He’s a 21 year old trying to juggle work and school on top of having just had his first baby he’s taking care of! Rob and I met him Thursday after he ended up at our shop after $2,100 at another shop where they didn’t fix the problem he was having with his vehicle. Unfortunately, we were able to properly diagnose the issue but he needed a new timing chain. The trade school he goes to helped him out with a loan to pay the first $2,100 so he assumed they would help with the $1,800 timing chain repair so he told us to go ahead and do it because his vehicle was his livelihood, obviously. Unfortunately, he reached out to us over the weekend to let us know that the school was unable to help and that he was very sorry but he could not pay for the repairs. Rob had already spent over 6 hours on it and the timing chain was already in. All that was left was the process of buttoning it all back together. But I couldn’t bring myself to take the timing chain back out. I mean, we were already in there! And we knew he wasn’t going to be able to have the work done elsewhere. It just made sense to me to leave the parts in there, button it up and be a blessing to him rather than another hurdle. So we buttoned it up with our parts in it and called him today to let him know that he was getting his truck back tomorrow, fixed. He was so grateful and he said he felt sick having to tell us that he couldn’t afford it after all. He said he had a terrible weekend and everything had been going wrong and that it was the best news he could have received even though he had no idea why we would do something like that for a complete stranger. Everything happens for a reason, Zion. There’s a reason you walked into our shop Thursday. But I don’t wanna stop there! I’d love to bless Zion further by trying to raise the money to pay off the $2,100 from the first shop so, after I got the OK from him, I decided to start this GoFundMe! Got a few extra bucks to spare and wanna be a blessing to someone? AWESOME! Zion and his family would be very thankful!
